According to Wilmington Police reports, the alleged crimes stemmed from a Craig's List sale gone bad. The victim told police he had purchased five I-phones on Ebay and was looking to sell them on Craig's List for $690 each. He said Saber contacted him by phone and said he was interested in buying one of the phones and maybe more.
The pair met on Dec. 21 at Walgreen's, 2341 Main St., Tewksbury, where Saber claimed to work. The victim told police he let Saber into his car and began driving toward Wilmington. He said that Saber asked to borrow his phone to make a call "because his battery was dead."

However, according to the police report, the victim grew suspicious when Saber began asking him questions about his cell phone "phone book" and then pretended to make a call without actually dialing the phone.
The victim told police he pulled over in front of Wilmington, and told Saber he was a liar and to get out of the car, according to the report.
At this point, according to the victim, Saber took out a knife and ordered him to give him all the phones or else he would "stick him." The victim told police that Saber came at him with the knife and that he put up his hands to defend himself. As a result, he received severe lacerations to the hands, according to the report.
The victim then opened his car door and yelled for help. A few men standing nearby grabbed hold of Saber and got the knife away and said they had called 911. At this point, according to the report, Saber grabbed one of the phones and fled on foot.
The victim pursued on foot and managed to tackle and punch Saber. At this point, Wilmington Police arrived on scene and took both men into custody pending an investigation. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries.
After the officers spoke with witnesses, the victim was released and Saber was placed under arrest.
