Vehicle Vandalized With Groceries, Robbery Suspect Nabbed in Wilmington

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Tuesday, July 29, to Thursday, July 31.

Tuesday, July 29

· At 8:44 a.m. a man called to report that he was hired by a building owner on Main Street to do some work but he is currently being harassed by an employee of one of the businesses.

· At 1:34 p.m. a caller on Wicks Circle reported that his vehicle was egged and hot dogs were placed on his windshield wipers sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Wednesday, July 30

· At 6:54 p.m. two juveniles were reported missing, last seen about 40 minutes prior to the call. The two children were located in a Burlington Ave. home in the basement.

Thursday, July 31

· At 12:09 p.m. an officer was out with a robbery suspect from Billerica and Tewksbury at the Eastern Bank drive-thru window. Police arrested Daniel P. Diblasi, 59, of 29 Ernest Road, Billerica, and charged him with unarmed robbery, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and attaching a number plate to conceal identification.

· At 5:04 p.m. on Salem Street a husband was intoxicated and throwing things during a verbal argument. The Wilmington man was taken into protective custody.
