WCTV To Host Selectmen, School Committee Debates
Candidates set to square off in first debate of the campaign season.

Candidates in the upcoming municipal election will square off face-to-face in debates on April 9 at the WCTV studios.
Residents are invited to attend the debates, which are being sponsored by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, Reading Co-Operative Bank, WCTV and the Town Crier.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with refreshments and a "Meet the Candidates" reception. The debate featuring the four candidates for Board of Selectmen will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the debate featuring the four of the five candidates for School Committee will begin at 7:15 p.m.

The debates will be moderated by Steve Bjork. Panelists will include Wilmington Patch Editor Bill Gilman, Town Crier Editor Jayne Miller and a representative from the Lowell Sun.
In addition to candidates being asked questions by the panelists, they will also have the chance to ask questions of each other.
