Wilmington Active Coronavirus Case Count Drops By 40

The town still has over 700 residents in quarantine for potential exposure, but it reported the first case count drop in two months.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington reported its first drop in active coronavirus cases in two months Tuesday, with 254 active confirmed cases.

The last report from the Health Department was 294 cases on Dec. 24, meaning the confirmed active case count fell by 40. The town reported 254 cases on Dec. 21 as well.

The population in quarantine for potential exposure remained over 700.

The Health Department broke down the 254 active cases by age bracket:

  • 0- to 18-years-old: 45 cases
  • 19 to 40: 59
  • 41 to 60: 87
  • 61 and up: 63
