The town posted <a href="https://x.com/WilmingtonDpw/status/1801328490702139624" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the following on social media</a>: "Although town offices are closed on Wednesday June 19, 2024, trash and recycling collection WILL NOT be delayed. This is due to the 5-year collection contract being finalized prior to the creation of the Juneteenth Holiday."
