Wilmington DPW First Responders Plan To Help Deserving Family
Nominations are being accepted until Nov. 4 for the Holiday Grocery Gift Card Giveaway. Winners will be informed by Thanksgiving.
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Department of Public Works First Responders are looking to help out a family in need this holiday season.
On Tuesday, the department announced details of the Wilmington First Responder Holiday Grocery Gift Card Giveaway.
Residents are asked to go online and nominate a "hard-working and deserving Wilmington family that could use a break this holiday season."

The family will receive a free holiday grocery gift card, according to organizers.
On the nomination form, residents are asked to fill out the name, address and contact information for a deserving family. They also will be asked to answer the question: "Why does this family deserve to catch a break this holiday season?"

The deadline for nominations is Nov. 4, and the Wilmington DPW said the winning family will be notified before Thanksgiving.
The winning family will be kept confidential, the Wilmington DPW said.
