Wilmington Lifting Town Building Mask Mandate For Unvaccinated

Beginning Monday, masks will be recommended, not mandatory, for unvaccinated people in town buildings.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington's town office mask mandate will end for unvaccinated residents Monday, the town said Thursday.

The town lifted its mask mandate for vaccinated people Feb. 14.

Beginning Monday, masks will be recommended for unvaccinated people, but not required. That includes residents, employees, vendors and appointed and elected officials.

The change does not apply to public school buildings.

"Patrons are still encouraged to use our window services, the Town Hall drop box to the left of the main entrance and our various online services through our Town Hall office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.," the town said.

Visitors to town buildings are still expected to follow social distancing when possible. Hand sanitizer dispensers are spread throughout Town Hall.
