Wilmington Police kept the ”happy” in Halloween Saturday morning after several pumpkins were stolen from a home in town.

Police posted on social media Saturday that they received a call from a resident explaining her 6-year-old son Sam wanted to call 911 to report six of his Halloween pumpkins were stolen. His mom, after explaining to her son that 911 is for emergencies only, called the station’s business line to report the theft. Officers spoke to young Sam who police said tearfully reported the theft of six of his Halloween pumpkins from his front porch.
