Wilmington Reports 164 Active Coronavirus Cases
The town's active case count is down 90 from late December.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington has 164 active coronavirus cases as of Monday, the Health Department reported.
The case count is down 90 from Dec. 29, the last time the Department reported a point-in-time count rather than a two-week count.
The town's quarantine numbers also dropped, from over 700 on Dec. 29 to over 500 Monday.

"Most cases are from household contacts and whole families," Health Director Shelly Newhouse said.
Newhouse also shared a breakdown of active cases by age group.

The town's positive test rate has also fallen over the last month, dropping to 8.1 percent as of Thursday, from 11 percent on Jan. 7.
