Wilmington Reports Nearly 200 Active Coronavirus Cases
The town had over 600 people in quarantine for potential exposure, as of Monday.
WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington reported 198 active coronavirus cases Monday, the most the town has ever reported at one time.
The case count increased by 50 from Dec. 4.
Over 600 residents are in quarantine for potential exposure to the virus.

Wilmington was recently classified as high risk by the state again, with the positive test rate rising above 5 percent.
But the recent surge has not been at nursing homes, where Wilmington had particularly deadly outbreaks in the spring.

"Our nursing homes are doing great," Health Director Shelly Newhouse said. "No numbers to report for them."
