Wilmington Resident Wins $1 Million On Mass Lottery Scratch-Off
While she was waiting for her husband to get his hair cut, a Wilmington woman decided to play a scratch-off ticket.

WILMINGTON, MA — A Wilmington woman is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Mary Leary won playing the “$4,000,000 Diamonds” $10 instant ticket game.
Leary said that she scratched her winning ticket while her husband was getting his hair cut, according to Mass Lottery.

She opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. She said she plans to use some of her winnings to go on a vacation.
She purchased the winning ticket at Sunrise Market at 327 Main St. in Wilmington. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The odds of Leary winning the prize were 1 in 1.792 million. There are five $1 million prizes and two $4 million prizes remaining in the $4,000,000 Diamonds game, according to Mass Lottery.
