Wilmington Town Clean-Up Day Takes Place Next Month

WILMINGTON, MA —The Wilmington Conservation Commission is sponsoring the annual Town Clean-up Day next month and is seeking volunteers to help with the effort.

The Clean-up Day event will take place, rain or shine, on Oct. 15., with the goal of removing litter and debris from the town's parks and conservation lands. The commission is asking businesses and residents of all ages to volunteer.

Those interested in volunteering or being a team leader are asked to contact the commission.

Residents also can show up at the site of their choice on the day of the event. A map showing the location of trails and other open spaces in Wilmington is available online.

The commission will provide supplies for the clean-up effort, which can be picked up prior to Oct. 15 at the Department of Planning and Conservation (Room 6) at Town Hall, located at 121 Glen Rd.
