Wilmington Will Be Site Of Saturday Flea Market/Yard Sale Fundraiser
The 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. event in the Town Common parking lot is sponsored by the Sons and Daughters of Italy and Wilmington High Band Parents.
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Sons and Daughters of Italy and Wilmington High School Band Parents are co-sponsoring their annual Flea Market/Yard Sale fundraiser on Saturday.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Town Common parking lot, located next to the 4th of July building.
The cost is $20 to rent a spot to sell goods at the event. The proceeds from vendor admission will go to the groups organizing the event. However, vendors keep the profits from their own sales.

"(At the event) you can expect to find almost anything, from an old teapot, to children's toys and games, to a used bike, or some old coins," said John Romano, the past president of the Wilmington Sons and Daughters of Italy and the founder and a co-organizer of the event.
Romano continued: "There is something for everyone and it is a fun way to help support two great organizations in town who always have supported the town and our youth and families. Even if you don't find something to take home with you, you can support us by purchasing a cup of coffee and a muffin or donut and maybe sharing a story about something fun you see at one of the tables."
As of Friday, organizers still were looking for volunteers to help out at the market. Those interested could sign up online.
Likewise, organizers said there still were opportunities for those interested in selling at the market. To do so, interested sellers were asked to contact John Romano at 617-750-9749 or show up at the event between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Saturday, but no later.
