Wilmington's Jillian Miele Repeats As D-III Field Hockey All-American
The Johnson & Wales forward completed her career as the school's all-time leader in goals, assists and points.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Wilmington High grad Jillian Miele, a fourth-year field hockey player at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, has been named a Division III Third-Team All-American, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced earlier this month.
Miele, a forward, earned the All-America distinction for a second straight season.
This fall, Miele had a team-high 69 points, 25 goals, and 19 assists for a Wildcats squad that went 19-2 overall, 11-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) before losing to Williams College in the NCAA Tournament.

Miele had at least one point in 18 of GWU's 21 games, including two goals in the 3-1 win over Simmons in the Nov. 5 conference championship game.
An All-GNAC First-Teamer and NFHCA Region I First-Team selection, Miele led the GNAC in assists and was second in goals and points in 2022.

Miele completed her JWU career as the program's all-time leader in goals (84), assists (47) and points (215).
In 2021, during her third collegiate season, Miele was an NFHCA Region I First-Team selection and an NFHCA Second-Team All-American.
At Wilmington High, Miele was a three-time Middlesex League All-Star, and she still holds the school's single-season goals record, scoring 30 during her senior campaign.
