Wilmington's National Night Out Event is Tuesday
Event will feature fun and games, police and fire vehicle displays, a K9 demonstration, and a movie shown after dark at Rotary Park.
The Wilmington Police Department is once again joining with communities across North America to host its second annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 4.
Made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Cummings Foundation, the Wilmington Police Department will be hosting its second annual National Night Out event at Rotary Park. The event will feature fun and games, police and fire equipment displays, a K9 demonstration and a movie will be shown after dark.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
