Wilmington's Ninety Nine Restaurant Helps Parent Company Raise $900K

Charity partners include Pine Street Inn, Boys & Girls Clubs, Folded Flag Foundation, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & Jimmy Fund.

WILMINGTON, MA —Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub announced Monday that its restaurants had raised over $900,000 during the past year for several local charities.

Donations were raised through business partnerships, by guests both in-restaurant and online, and by Ninety Nine team members at all locations, including the Wilmington restaurant, located at 144 Lowell St. (Rt. 129).

Charities that benefitted from the fundraising were Pine Street Inn, Boys & Girls Clubs, Folded Flag Foundation and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & Jimmy Fund.

"This year continued the remarkable fundraising efforts by the Ninety Nine team and our amazing guests for these deserving organizations," Ninety Nine CEO W. Craig Barber said in a statement.

Barber continued: "We appreciate the support and generosity of our guests as we always focus on giving back within our communities. These strategic partnerships are a priority for the Ninety Nine brand, and we are blessed to be able to assist them as they make a difference as they fulfill their mission."

On September 13, Fenway Park hosted Ninety Nine Night to celebrate the money raised by bringing together representatives from charity partners to accept check donations.

According to Ninety Nine, the company raised $111,000 for Pine Street Inn, $174,000 for Folded Flag Foundation, $334,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund and $282,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Ninety Nine restaurants said this is the 42nd year it has raised funds for Pine Street Inn, the 25th year it has supported the Boys and Girls Clubs and the 17th year it has contributed to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund. This is the first year the restaurant chain has supported the Folded Flag Foundation.

Just as Ninety Nine celebrates the end of one fundraising year, another is set to begin. The company's annual fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs will kick off on Oct. 1 and last the entire month.
