Meet Winchester High School's New Principal, Christine Kelley

Winchester Superintendent of Schools Judith Evans announced Christine Kelley as the new high school principal on Tuesday.

Winchester Superintendent of Schools Judith Evans announced Christine Kelley as the new high school principal on Tuesday.

Kelley will step in and lead the school in interim basis during the 2015-2016 school year, replacing Sean Kiley.

“I am grateful to Christine Kelley; with much enthusiasm she has accepted the role of interim principal,” Evans said.

Kelley spent five years working as the principal of Lynch Elementary School, also located in Winchester. She has also worked as an elementary and secondary level teacher and principal since 1988, and taught at Vinson-Owen School for 15 years.

Additionally, Kelley is licensed as a principal at all levels of education, an assistant superintendent, superintendent, and is an adjunct professor at American International College.

Kelley holds degrees in English and Education from Regis College and Salem State University.

“Mrs. Kelley’s leadership style is characterized by a deep commitment to students and families, attention to the needs of individual students, the ability to work collaboratively with parents, faculty and staff members, and a focus on building strong, student-centered school cultures,” Evans said.

Winchester High School begins school on September 8.
