Meanwhile, in another email to Winchester Patch, reader Sarah Norton stated that runner Mark Herlihy is safe.

"Spoke to his wife Theresa Johnson Herlihy by cell right after the attack (Monday)," wrote Norton. "He never finished, and she, her elementary school aged daughters and his mother were delayed getting to the sidelines to watch him cross the finish line as they struggled to find parking, so thankfully no one was in the immediate area when the blasts happened."

Theresa Johnson Herlihy reportedly posted the following on her Facebook page, accordin to Norton: "Thank you everyone for your calls, texts and concerns! Mark was on Hereford nearing the finish line when the two explosions happened. My mother in law, our daughters and I were running late looking for parking and (thankfully) did not get there! We had a guardian angel with all of us! It was very scary but Mark was able to borrow a phone and we met him within 15 minutes of the explosions. My nephew was working at (Boston Athletic Association) and my brother-in-law was waiting at the finish line. Everyone is safe! Feeling extremely blessed and grateful tonight! Hugs to all."

Original Report

Winchester residents and Boston Marathon runners Kristen Pywell Bray and Kristin Taylor are reportedly safe following the tragic explosions that brought the annual event to a halt Monday afternoon.

Dozens of people were injured and two were reportedly killed by two explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line. However, social media reports indicated that Taylor and Bray are fine.

A reader, who wished to remain anonymous, sent a direct message to the Winchester Patch Facebook page stating "I know that Kristin Taylor and family are all OK," adding that she met the family not long after hearing from another person that they were fine.

Meanwhile, Jeff Bray posted this on our Facebook page about Kristen Pywell Bray: "Kristen Pywell Bray was not able to finish before the tragedy, but she and all her family are all safe back in Winchester." Twitter user Katherine Waters-Clark tweeted, "...she is home and safe icing. We are all safe!"
