Bust out the extra blankets and space heaters because it’s going to be unseasonably cold across Massachusetts this weekend.
The National Weather Service says it’s looking like a widespread hard freeze will occur across much of southern New England Sunday night into Monday morning with temperatures expected to be in the 20s across the interior and 30s along the immediate coast.

Here is the latest temperature forecast for Sunday night, which will be the peak of the cold snap. It will be unseasonably cold Saturday through Monday night.
- Saturday: Partly cloudy skies. Daytime high 56, nighttime low 30
- Sunday: Sunny with a few clouds. Daytime high 49, nighttime low 26
- Monday: Sunny. Daytime high 50, nighttime low 31.
