• 27 Local Firefighters Graduate from Firefighting Academy (mass.gov) — A new class of firefighters has graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, including recruits joining the Woburn Fire Department. Woburn’s Danielle Crawford earned the class’s top Bangs Outstanding Student Award, recognizing strong academic and practical performance as she and classmates completed intensive training in modern firefighting and emergency response skills. 
• Dracut man arrested for allegedly selling fake gold bar on Facebook Marketplace (wcvb.com) — A Facebook Marketplace scam case tied to a fake gold bar has landed in Woburn District Court, where a Dracut man faces multiple larceny and fraud charges. Wilmington police say the victim lost more than $4,000, and they’re urging area residents, including Woburn buyers and sellers, to use the police station lobby for safer in-person transactions with strangers.
