15-Car Pileup On Mass Pike Caused By Ice: State Police
Multiple people were injured in the collision in the eastbound lanes late Thursday night.

BRIMFIELD, MA — Multiple people were injured Thursday night in a pileup collision in the eastbound lanes of the Mass Pike in Hampden County, according to state police.
The pileup happened just before 11:30 p.m. in Brimfield involving about 15 vehicles, including multiple semitrailers, state police said.
State police said road icing was likely the cause of the crash. The state saw a long mixed-precipitation event on Thursday and Friday compounded by frigid temperatures that moved in during the afternoon hours.
