2 Recruiters From MA College Were In Fla. School During Shooting

These recruiters happened to be at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during Wednesday's shooting.

DUDLEY, MA—They are OK. That's the note from the Nichols College president as of this morning, as three recruiters from the college were at the Florida high school at the heart of the mass shooting on Wednesday.

Paul Brower, Nichols' assistant dean of admissions, and Nichols' assistant football coach and graduate assistant St. Clair Ryan were visiting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, on a recruiting visit during Wednesday’s deadly school shooting.

"They are safe, and the Nichols community is deeply thankful as the security and safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top concern," wrote Nichols College President Susan West Engelkemeyer in a statement to the community. "While we are grateful for their safety, our community is profoundly saddened by the tragedy at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Our deepest sympathies go to the victims’ families and friends during this very difficult time, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Parkland community."
