2 Teenagers Pull Gun On Cab Driver In Worcester: Police

A 14-year-old and 16-year-old now face multiple charges.

WORCESTER, MA — Two teens are now facing charges after police say they pulled a gun on their cab driver.

Worcester police responded to reports of an armed robbery on the Fourth of July. When arriving at Uxbridge Street, a victim told the officers that he picked up two teenage boys who pulled a firearm after refusing to pay.

The victim, a cab driver, stopped at the corner of Uxbridge Street and Green Hill Parkway and that’s when one of the boys pulled out a gun, according to Worcester police. The pair exited the vehicle and ran down the street.

WPD arrested a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old in connection with the incident on July 5. They have been charged with armed assault to rob and evading a taxi fare.

The cab driver was not hurt, according to the Worcester Police Department.
