3 Worcester Firefighters Honored At Mass. Firefighter Of The Year Awards
Firefighters from 15 local fire departments and two state agencies were honored for lifesaving heroism and community service.

WORCESTER, MA — Three firefighters from the Worcester Fire Department were honored by the Healey-Driscoll Administration on Tuesday.
Firefighters from 15 local fire departments and two state agencies were honored for lifesaving heroism and community service at the state's 36th annual Firefighter of the Year Awards.
Assistant Coordinator David Ryan, Instructor Jackson Lowbridge, and Instructor Andrejs Sterns at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy received the Stephen D. Coan Fire Marshal’s Award. The three from the Worcester Fire Department were part of a group to receive the award for their lifesaving actions after a recruit went into cardiac arrest during training earlier this year.
