3-Year-Old Boy Fell From Third Floor Worcester Apartment
A neighbor heard the mother outside screaming while holding the child.

WORCESTER, MA—Investigators are trying to figure out how a three-year-old boy fell from a third-story window from a Worcester apartment on Monday afternoon.
On Monday, June 18, around 1:30 p.m., Worcester Police responded to 25 Plantation St. for a report of a baby that had fallen out of a third floor apartment window. The mother of the boy was holding her son outside of the building when police got there. The boy was conscious and crying and suffering from apparent facial injuries and was bleeding from his mouth.
Worcester EMS arrived at the scene and quickly took the child to a nearby hospital. The mother was hysterical at the scene and accompanied the child in the ambulance, said police.

A neighbor told police they didn't see the incident but heard the mother outside screaming and holding her child. The neighbor then called police.
Worcester PD detectives arrived at the scene as well as members of the Crime Scene Unit. Investigators will be obtaining a search warrant for the premises as the investigation moves forward. Per standard procedure, DCF was notified of the incident and will be conducting an investigation.
