Attorney Jemmie Martinez Joins Mirick

Martinez comes to Mirick as an associate in the firm's Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits Group

Mirick announces that Attorney Jemmie Martinez has joined the Firm as an Associate in the Firm’s Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits Group in the Firm’s Westborough office. Her practice includes labor and employment and education law, along with general litigation.

“We’re thrilled to have Jemmie join our team,” said Corey Higgins, Chair of Mirick’s Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits Group. “Her experience and client-focused approach will undoubtedly bring great value to the work we do.”

Partner Marc Terry agreed, adding, “Jemmie is off to a fantastic start and is already making a real difference with the clients she’s working with."

Martinez is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School. She holds both an MPA and BA in Political Science from Clark University in Worcester.

She began her career at Mirick as a Summer Associate in 2023. Prior to joining the Firm, Martinez was a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Patti B. Saris and Honorable Margaret R. Guzman for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Further, she served as a congressional intern for Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and for the Fair Labor Division at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in Boston.

Martinez has previous prosecutorial experience as a student attorney for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where she represented the Commonwealth at the Roxbury District Court. While in law school, she served as an editor for the Suffolk Transnational Law Review and sat on its Board as Competitions Editor during her second year. Additionally, Martinez received a jurisprudence award in Commercial Law Sales during her third year and earned first place in the Suffolk Transnational Law Review Moot Court Competition.

Martinez is fluent in Spanish.
