Beloved Central MA Police Officer Bob Chabot Dies After Courageous Cancer Battle
He was U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

WORCESTER, MA — A beloved police officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran died on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Bob Chabot, a veteran of the Vietnam War and police officer with the Worcester Police Department for more than 40 years, died after a battle with cancer. He was 71.
According to his obituary, Chabot was born in Worcester. He served as an assistant administrator and crime scene analyst in the city for 42 years. After retiring from WPD in 2018, he served as a police officer at Becker College and worked on police details in Shrewsbury and Westborough.

There was a funeral mass on Thursday, Nov. 13. In place of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
