Brattle Market Sells $100,000 Year For Life Winning Ticket

A Worcester man won the $100,000 a year for life instant game from the Mass. Lottery.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is a whole lot richer — minus taxes and incentives — after hitting a jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery.

David Gagne of Worcester is the first grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$100,000 a Year for Life” instant game.

Gagne chose the annuity option on his prize and received the first of 20 payments of $100,000 (less tax withholdings). He plans on buying a house and helping out his family.

Gagne’s winning ticket was purchased at Holden Brattle Market, 1 Brattle St. in Worcester. The store will receive a $20,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

There are five $100,000 a Year for Life grand prizes remaining in this $5 instant game.
