Cab Driver Stabbed In Fight: WPD

When the driver noticed the guy he picked up from a previous incident, he asked him to get out.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is in good condition at the hospital after being stabbed Tuesday morning on East Mountain Street in Worcester.

On April 3, police were called to 214 East Mountain St., where a taxi driver reportedly had just been stabbed. The 22-year-old male said he went to the address, and when the suspect got into the car he asked to go to a specific address. At this point, the driver recognized him from an unrelated incident about a year ago, and at that point, asked him to get out and refused to drive him. The suspect refused to get out at first, but when he did, he opened the rear door and told the driver to get out. He did, and the suspect pushed the driver backward.

They started to fight and the driver was stabbed in the lower extremity. The suspect ran and was last seen on East Mountain Street. The victim was transported to the hospital.
