Car Crashed After Driver Was Shot At: Police
Police are investigating a shooting that caused a driver, the apparent target of the gunfire, to speed up, lose control and crash.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating after a car crashed into a wall on Providence Street as a result of the driver being shot at, the victims told police. Police responded to Oak Hill around 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
Police arrived to find a 21-year-old woman in the driver's seat and a 23-year-old man in the passenger seat of the car, both injured from the crash. Neither were hit by the gunfire, police said.
The victims told police they were driving on Pattison Street towards Providence Street in Oak Hill when a vehicle pulled up behind them. One of the people in that unknown vehicle began firing at the victims, they said.

Panicking, the driver accellerated, eventually losing control and crashing into a wall at Pattison and Providence.
Both victims were taken to the hospital. The woman had a few broken bones and the man had some cuts and a possible leg injury, all sustained from the crash, police said.

Investigators found bullet holes in the victim's car as well as one stray bullet hole in another parked car.
Police have little information on the shooters. If you have any information, police ask that you send an anonymous text to 274637 saying "TIPWPD" plus your message.
