Car Hits Safelite Building, Pole, Parked Car, In Serious Crash
Two were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash over the weekend on Southbridge Street.

WORCESTER, MA—Officials are still investigating a serious accident that happened in the early morning hours over the weekend where a car ultimately hit a Safelite Auto Glass store.
On Saturday, February 3, 2018, at approximately 3:19 AM, Worcester Police responded to a serious car crash in the area of 523 Southbridge St. A 2005 Chevy Trailblazer was headed south on Southbridge Street and speeding, striking a parked 2003 Audi station wagon in front of the Safelite Auto Glass store. The crash shot the parked car into the northbound lane, the Chevy striking the Safelite building.
The two occupants were stabilized at the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment for serious injuries. Both males are in serious condition with head and chest trauma.

Recon officers saw a large hole in the Safelite building along with an aluminum street light that had been knocked down across the southbound lane of Southbridge.
Code enforcement arrived at the scene and determined that the structural integrity of the building had been compromised and therefor structurally unsafe. The manager of the business arrived at the scene and began the process of securing the building.

Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
