Mercedes Pulled From River; Had Been There Since April
Back in April, a man said he blacked out but couldn't remember where the car was. Turns out, it was in the river.

CHICOPEE, MA—A car that went completely underwater in the Connecticut River beckoned the help of the Underwater Response Team on Saturday in Chicopee.
A kayaker discovered the vehicle - reported by The Boston Globe to be a Mercedes - in the river near the area of Nash Park and called authorities. Officers who responded were able to see the vehicle from the surface, and four divers got down there to check out the vehicle, said police. No one was inside, so officials planned for the car to be removed on Sunday.
At 8 a.m. on Sunday divers hit the water again, hooking up cables and equipment from a local towing company and pulling it onto land.

Investigators learned why the car was in the water. It seemed that on April 8 the operator of the vehicle blacked out and somehow drove that vehicle into, or near, the water, said police. He, and his father, went to the West Springfield PD, to make a report that he had blacked out, and that it was unknown where the vehicle was left.
