Cellphone Linked Murder Suspect To Body Found In MA Woods: Report

A Worcester man is being held without bail in connection to the shooting death of a man whose body was found in the woods in March.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is facing a murder charge in connection to the death of a man whose body was found in the woods in Paxton in March.

Christopher Fuller, 30, Worcester, was arraigned Tuesday after being arrested at a home in Worcester Monday as the result of an investigation from state police. He was charged with one count of murder in the death of 29-year-old Ernest Appiah and is being held without bail, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said.

On March 5, Appiah's body was found in Paxton about 25 feet from Asnebumskit Road. The state medical examiner's office later ruled Appiah's death a homicide after finding multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

The Worcester Telegram reported that part of the investigation revealed Fuller became a suspect after his cell phone was discovered nearby.

It wasn't immediately clear if Fuller had an attorney to comment on the murder charge.

Fuller is due back in court on March 12.
