Crash Brings Jaws Of Life, Sends Man To Hospital With Serious Injuries: Worcester PD
A 30-year-old male was involved in a serious crash on Grafton Street in Worcester on Wednesday evening.

WORCESTER, MA—A man was brought to the hospital with serious injuries after his car apparently went into a utility pole on Grafton Street Wednesday evening.
On Oct. 25 around 9:47 p.m., Worcester police responded to a single-vehicle accident near 1398 Grafton St., where a car had crashed into a utility pole and the driver (the only one in the car) was trapped inside.
Firefighters used the “jaws of life” to extract the 30-year-old man from the vehicle. He suffered from a serious head injury and potential internal injuries. Worcester EMS treated him at the scene and then transported him to a nearby hospital.

Investigators say that the driver of the 2005 Ford Focus was headed north on Grafton Street when he suddenly crossed over the double solid line in the middle, traveled into the southbound lane and hit the pole.
The operator is currently intubated and in critical condition with possible internal bleeding.
