Petty also wrote that the MSBA gave approval to advance Elm Park, Lincoln Street and Thorndyke Road elementary schools within the accelerated repairs program. The three schools will receive new windows and doors, a partial roof repair along with new windows and doors, and some new windows and doors, respectively.
According to Petty, the projects combined will cost roughly $12 million dollars, with 80 percent of that funding coming from state government.
