Everyone Thinks Worcester Native Is Owen Wilson
Dan Hartwell, a Worcester native known for founding Locobazooka, is apparently able to fake out people into thinking he's Owen Wilson.
WORCESTER, MA — The nose is way different! But apparently he's gotten away with this once or twice.
Daniel Hartwell said he goes to tons of parties down in Palm Beach, FL, where he's lived for 10 years. He's got lots of friends. As anyone over the age of 30 or so remembers, Hartwell is known around these parts for being "Danimal" in a number of bands in the '80s, and then launching Localpalooza! (renamed Locobazooka!) in the '90s.
A decade ago, the promoter and health nut moved down to Palm Beach, where he's still promoting and booking shows, and also pretending to be Owen Wilson sometimes. Since he books a lot of talent at parties around the area, at a recent party, he wanted to help out the cause and attend himself - or as Wilson.

"Everywhere I go, people stop me and beg me for a picture," Hartwell told Patch. "I tell them I’m not Owen but they don’t believe me. I have been traveling the world and everywhere I go I get stopped! People in Russia, China, Colombia, Argentina, England, France! They all run up to me and get pictures with me. Here in Palm Beach it happens so many times a day that it gets crazy and draws a crowd."
While it happens frequently, Hartwell landed in the newspaper in Palm Beach recently for fooling folks at the fundraiser party:

Hartwell, in addition to guzzling protein shakes and jogging the beach at sunrise, is also enjoying the success of Saint John Lennon, which he co-authored with Roseanne Bottone. Released at the end of last year, the story paints the Beatle as being alive and well.
"I'm thinking about bringing Locobazooka! back again," he said. "I'd bring it back to my hometown."
