3-Alarm Fire In Worcester Destroys Businesses, 2 Injured

Two people were injured in the 3-alarm fire Monday evening in a building that housed multiple local businesses.

WORCESTER, MA — A commercial building along Pleasant Street in Worcester was destroyed by a fire Monday evening, leaving people injured and several local businesses displaced.

The fire broke out near 6:30 p.m. in a small commercial district near the intersection of Pleasant, Richmond Road and St. Elmo Road. The blaze eventually grew to three alarms.

According to local officials, two people were injured in the fire, according to reports. The local businesses Worcester Flower Shop and U-Home Décor Store were devastated by the fire. The commercial building was also previously home to Lulu's Bakery and Café.
