First License To Sell Recreational Marijuana Awarded In MA
Leicester won't just be known for its cows. This Central Mass. town got the first approval to sell non-medical marijuana in the state.

LEICESTER, MA—This marijuana dispensary has been operating since late last year, but on Monday, it became the first in Massachusetts officially licensed to sell recreational marijuana.
Cultivate Holdings in Leicester was approved, unanimously, by the Cannabis Control Commission to operate as a retail marijuana business, upon conditions that include background checks and inspections, reports State House News.
The former tool and die shop in Central Massachusetts has been cultivating and processing marijuana for medical patients. Cultivate applied along with another 60 or so businesses to grow non-medical marijuana and manufacture non-medical marijuana, reports State House News. The business cannot actually sell recreational marijuana until it's tested and approved by an independent lab.
