Free Green Building Maintenance Worker Training & Certifications

The MassHire Central Region Workforce Board is now recruiting participants for free training that prepares eligible individuals for stable, full-time jobs in Environmental Remediation and Climate Critical jobs and Green Building Maintenance. Upon completion, program graduates will get free job search and job placement assistance from MassHire Career Center counselors.

Certified workers in these fields are in high demand; salaries can start at $18-$20/hour or more. Check out the Green Energy Career Map and chart your career in this dynamic field (note: the map doesn't include jobs from the manufacturing and research sectors of the energy efficiency industry).

You qualify IF...

• You live in an eligible community
• You're 18 years or older
• You're authorized to work in the U.S.
• You're unemployed or underemployed
• You submit an application and documents proving eligibility
• Complete an info session and a pre-admission interview

More than half of the energy efficiency jobs are currently in the field of construction. As of late 2020, one of five US construction jobs now deals with products proven to save energy. Green building maintenance workers help save more energy every year than the nation uses from any other single energy resource. They also reduce harmful emissions, clean the air, and improve people’s health.
