Free Health Screening Event Coming To Worcester Barbershop

WORCESTER, MA — Free health screenings will be given this weekend at a barbershop in the city.

France’s Barbershop is set to host the health screening on Saturday as part of the Barbershop Health Network Initiative, which was reinvigorated by nearly a dozen UMass Chan Medical School students.

Medical students will offer free cardiovascular and vital sign checks and glucose screenings. They will also provide information on disease prevention, nutrition, and gun safety. Plus, participants will be entered into a raffle for a free haircut.

The event will take place on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at France's Barbershop at 90 Madison St., Worcester.
