Mosquito Spraying In Worcester In July
Health personnel will spray for mosquitoes in Worcester multiple days throughout the month.
WORCESTER, MA — As part of the state’s mission to tackle pesky mosquitoes, pesticide spraying is underway in Worcester.
The applications officially began on July 1 and will continue throughout the city on Tuesday, July 8, according to a news release. The spray is to target adult mosquitoes in the area.
The City will notify residents in the specific neighborhoods being sprayed. The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project also releases a list of likely spraying locations between 1 and 3:30 p.m. You can find those spots here.

For residents that live in those areas, the CCMCP asks to close street-facing windows and turn off any outside air settings on air conditioners. They also recommend keeping pets inside and remaining in the house during the application and for up to 20 minutes after.
Also, if you have a home garden, wash off any fruits and vegetables before eating them.

More applications in Worcester will take place on July 15, 22 and 29 at various locations throughout the city.
