Highway Stop Leads To Cocaine, Heroin And 3 Arrests: MSP

A seemingly routine stop in Sturbridge leads to a big arrest yielding a large amount of drugs.

STURBRIDGE, MA—Around 6:41 p.m. on Friday, Trooper Sergio Figueiredo stopped a Chevrolet Impala on Route 84 eastbound, just prior to exit 2 in Sturbridge, for several motor vehicle violations.

As a result of an investigation, the driver, Davon V. Russell, 25, New Haven, CT, was found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin. A passenger, Marquis J. Hines, Hamden, CT, was also found to be in possession of heroin, and another passenger, Miguel S. Nonossi, 28, New Haven, CT, had two warrants out for his arrest.

All three were placed under arrest and brought to the Sturbridge Barracks for booking.

Russell was charged with the following offenses:
1. Trafficking in Cocaine
2. Possess to Distribute Class A (Heroin)
3. Arrestee Furnish False Name
4. Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
5. Marked Lanes Violation
6. Fail to Signal
7. Fail to Wear Seat Belt
Hines was charged with the following offenses:

1. Trafficking in Heroin
2. Arrestee Furnish False Name
3. Fail to Wear Seat Belt

Nonossi was charged with the following offenses:

1. Failure to Wear Seat Belt
2. Warrant
3. Warrant

All three were arraigned in Dudley District Court.
