The first 100 participants will then be transported on an interactive, service-focused field trip around the city to earn free Chick-fil-A.

WORCESTER, MA—Chick-fil-A Worcester opens on Thursday, Oct. 26, with the grand opening featuring a "First 100 Road Trip" that begins the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the restaurant parking lot at 80 Gold Star Boulevard.
Local owner Chris Spring said the restaurant will bring more than 80 jobs to the community, and offers its first 100 guests the chance to win free Chick-fi-A for a year at its First 100 celebration.
On the morning of Oct. 25, the first 100 participants will be transported on an interactive, service-focused field trip around the city to earn free Chick-fil-A meals for a year. This community event is open to guests residing in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant.

A tradition going back 14 years, Chick-fil-A’s First 100 celebration has given away nearly $27 million in free food and continues to be the chain’s signature grand opening event, said the announcement.
However, unlike many First 100 events, Worcester’s Chick-fil-A grand opening celebration will not involve any overnight activities. Instead, participants, who may be joined by two guests, can start gathering at 6 a.m. on Oct. 25 (24 hours before the restaurant officially opens) to register and participate in a grand opening giveaway celebration, said the release.

The participants will depart mid-morning and head on out around Worcester on chartered buses to spend an afternoon of activities in community service such as supporting veterans, local youth and the hungry. The group will also go to a local park.
Once completed, each eligible participant will return to Chick-fil-A Worcester at 3 p.m. to continue the celebration. The post-road trip party will include dinner and the First 100 participants will be awarded with a digital offer card loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals (52 meals total).
Here are the rules: Registration will be held Oct. 25 from 6 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. or until 100 eligible participants are reached, whichever comes first. If more than 100 people are on site when the line officially opens at 6 a.m. that day, a drawing will be held to select the First 100. Those chosen will be required to participate in the First 100 road trip and stay for the duration of the celebration until 5 p.m. on Oct. 25. To be eligible, participants must be 18 years or older, U.S. residents with a valid government-issued photo ID, and reside in eligible zip codes. Chick-fil-A Worcester’s First 100 celebration will award more than $32,000 in free food to 100 local residents.
“My team and I can’t wait to welcome our guests when we open on Oct. 26,” Spring said in a statement. “Our goal is to provide a remarkable experience for every customer, every time, by serving food our guests can truly feel good about eating, providing sincere hospitality and being a good neighbor in the Worcester community. Everyone is welcome at our restaurant.”
