Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Yossi Burstyn: CubeSmart Self Storage at 80 Barber Avenue in Worcester is a brand-new, fully climate-controlled storage facility. Our goal is to make storage simple, accessible, and stress-free for residents, businesses, and students across Worcester. From covered, drive-in access and spacious loading bays to smartphone-enabled entry and clean, climate-controlled units on every floor, everything was designed with the customer’s experience in mind. Whether someone’s moving, downsizing, or managing inventory for their business, we want their storage process to be smooth from start to finish. Yossi Burstyn: 1 year

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Yossi Burstyn: I’ve always been interested in real estate and building businesses that serve everyday needs. Self-storage stood out as an industry that combines long-term stability with real value for people, it’s something everyone needs at one point or another. When I saw the opportunity to bring a modern, fully climate-controlled storage facility to Worcester, it made perfect sense. We wanted to create a clean, accessible, and well-run store that customers could truly rely on, which we have successfully done since day one.

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Yossi Burstyn: I always tell customers that a little preparation before move-in goes a long way. Label boxes clearly, stack heavier items on the bottom, and leave a small walkway inside the unit, you’ll thank yourself later when you need to find something quickly. I also remind customers not to underestimate the value of climate control, especially here in New England. It helps protect everything from household goods and business inventory to sentimental items and collectibles, keeping them in great shape year-round, no matter what the weather’s doing outside.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Yossi Burstyn: The most satisfying part is seeing the facility operate exactly as it was designed to, efficient, organized, and genuinely helpful for customers. We put a lot of thought into every detail, from the covered loading area to the layout of each floor, and it’s rewarding to watch people use those features and immediately notice the difference.

Yossi Burstyn: What sets our facility apart is the level of convenience and quality built into every part of the customer experience. From the moment you pull into the fully covered, climate-controlled loading bay, everything is designed to make storage easier, faster, and more comfortable, no worrying about weather or tight spaces. Inside, every unit is fully climate-controlled, with wide hallways, high ceilings, and plenty of room to maneuver large vehicles during loading and unloading. Customers can access the building through the CubeSmart app, adding a layer of security and convenience that most facilities don’t offer. We also take pride in keeping the property spotless and well-maintained year-round.
