WORCESTER, MA — A man died after an early Sunday shooting in the Main South area, according to Worcester police.

The shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. along Grand Street, police said. The 29-year-old victim was found in front of a building. He died after being taken to a local hospital.

This is the second fatal shooting in Worcester this week following last Saturday's double-shooting at Worcester State University. Police arrested a former Lawrence man in Brooklyn this week over that shooting, and he is being returned to Massachusetts to face charges.
