Man Charged With Murder For Boston Stabbing On Tuesday

Less than 24 hours after the deadly stabbing in broad daylight, a Worcester man has been charged.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing that happened in broad daylight in Boston on Tuesday.

Boston Police detectives arrested Jeremy Correa, 31, Worcester, at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday for the stabbing death of 50-year-old Edward Sanchez of Boston. Correa will be charged with murder and arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

"I commend the Homicide Unit detectives for their quick action; their diligence in the first hours after the incident allowed them to make this arrest of a very dangerous suspect," said Boston Police Commissioner William Evans in a statement.

On Tuesday, May 8, officers in South Boston responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 112 Southampton St. in Boston. They found a man in his 50s suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim, suffering life-threatening injuries, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
