Man Charged With Stabbing On Allen Street
The victim said he was walking on Allen Street with a female friend when the attack occurred.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is facing charges for stabbing a man early Sunday morning.
Police headed to 120 Main St. on Sunday, Aug. 12, around 12:14 a.m. where a stabbing had reportedly just occurred. The 21-year-old male victim had been "jumped" by several males on Allen Street during an altercation.
The victim said he was walking on Allen Street with a female friend when the attack occurred. He and the woman broke free and ran toward his car, driving away to call police. The victim was treated and brought to the hospital.

One of the officers present recognized the street name. The officer knew that the person with the street name was Ismael Sawadogo, 21, S. Lenox Street. The officer who knew Sawadago went to his home and saw him sitting in his car with several other men. As the officer approached the car, Sawadogo exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away. After a struggle, Sawadogo was arrested, charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (knife) and Resisting Arrest.
The victim received a non-life threatening injury and was treated and eventually released.

This investigation is ongoing as investigators are working on the identities of the other males that were involved in the altercation.
