Man Gets Jail For Human Trafficking, Support From Prostitute
Fabian Beltran was sentenced to 6 to 8 years in state prison Wednesday after a Worcester Superior Court jury found him guilty.

WORCESTER, MA—A man will spend up to eight years in prison after a jury found him guilty of human trafficking and deriving support from a prostitute, according to the Office of the Worcester County District Attorney.
Fabian Beltran was sentenced to 6 to 8 years in state prison Wednesday after a Worcester Superior Court jury found him guilty.
Judge Daniel M. Wrenn imposed a sentence of 6 to 8 years for human trafficking and 4 to 5 years for deriving support from a prostitute. The sentences are to be served concurrently. Assistant District Attorney Timothy A. Westerman recommended concurrent sentences of 8 to 10 years and 4 to 5 years.

Beltran’s attorney asked for concurrent sentences of 5 years to 5 years and a day and 2 years to 2 years and a day.
The jury found Beltran, 25, guilty after deliberating for about two hours. His co-defendant, Lewis Jennings, 26, was found not guilty of the same charges, said the DA's office.

The victim testified that in 2016 Beltran took advantage of her drug addiction and profited from her acts of prostitution. In return, he supplied her with heroin.
