WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police are investigating a violent robbery along Park Avenue that ended in a shooting. Police responded to near the AutoZone just north of Pleasant Street at around 5 p.m. after a report of an armed robbery. They found the 41-year-old victim at the scene, and determined that he had been robbed by another man, who opened fire after the robbery. The victim was taken to a local hospital, but Worcester police did not immediately provide an update on his condition. The shooter fled after opening fire, and Worcester police did not immediately announce any arrests related to the violence.
