Marlborough Firefighters Honored At Mass. Firefighter Of The Year Awards
Firefighters from 15 local fire departments and two state agencies were honored for lifesaving herosim and community service.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A total of 16 firefighters from the Marlborough Fire Department were honored by the Healey-Driscoll Administration on Tuesday.
Firefighters from 15 local fire departments and two state agencies were honored for lifesaving heroism and community service at the state's 36th annual Firefighter of the Year Awards. The event took place at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, and WCVB-TV anchor Doug Meehan emceed the ceremony.
Battalion 4 of the Marlborough Fire Department was recognized for their actions taken at a house fire earlier this year on Hanlon Dr. The group saved an elderly male.
